Atlanta

This past weekend Jonathan & I took a trip to Atlanta while Coen stayed at home with paw-paw & mimi. I had planned this trip back in March and surprised Jonathan with it plus Braves baseball tickets for our 5th wedding anniversary. We had a great time despite how hot is was. We walked everywhere because our hotel was in walking distance to everything we did except Turner Field. We did take the MARTA station a lot which helped us get around too. Once our flight landed and dropped our things off at the hotel we headed straight for The World of Coca-Cola. It was very interesting to taste all the different coke products world wide. Some of them tasted really good but others were pretty nasty tasting. Then we were off to eat dinner at the Cheesecake Factory which we both really enjoyed. My key lime cheesecake was very yummy!

Saturday we went to the Georgia Aquarium which is the largest in the world. It was a big place with lots of things to see & explore. Then it was off to the Braves game that night. Jonathan is a huge fan of the Atlanta Braves and so am I. We had a blast watching the game. That was my first major league baseball game and Jonathan's second trip to Turner Field. We had great seats and the Braves beat the Giants 3-0.

Holden Beach

This year we went to Holden beach for vaccation. We have always gone to Myrtle beach but wanted to go somewhere different. I have to say we really enjoyed Holden beach. It was very nice & not crowded at all. Coen loves playing in the pool & even played in the ocean some. He still wouldn't let us take him out waist deep but every year he likes the ocean more & more. Here are just a few pictures from our beach trip this year.

We did drive down to Myrtle Beach one day for some shopping. Here's Coen at Barefoot landing.

A cookout at mimi & paw-paw's

This past weekend we had a cookout at mom & dad's house and my nephew & niece were there too. Coen hasn't been around his cousins a lot but that's because we don't get to see them very often. But is was great to hang out with them for a day. Here are just a few pictures of Coen eating corn on the cob at the cookout. He loves corn on the cob & I like to watch him eat it. It's funny to see him rotate the ear of corn around in his hands, or "paws" as we call them because he has fat little hands.

Modeling

On Memorial Day weekend we attended a wedding. Here is a cute picture I captured of Coen leaning up against the fence at the wedding. The wedding was of course outside. I love this picture of him. I think it's adorable.

And here is Coen being the typical little boy that he is, jumping off chairs.

Elmo

A while back the Greensboro Coliseum was advertising Elmo live. Since Coen is a big fan of Elmo we decided it would be fun to take him to see the real thing. It was an hour show and Coen did well the whole time we where there. I think he enjoyed it and afterwards he got an Elmo soccer ball from the gift shop. Here are a few pictures of the show.

Coen's first baseball game

A couple of weeks ago we took Coen to see a Dash game since the new stadium had opened. Coen loves anything that deals with baseball , basketball & football. We had great seats, right behind home plate. Coen keep his eye on Bolt, the team mascot. Bolt came around to where we were sitting but Coen wasn't to sure of him. Coen actually watched the game & would clap when the team was doing good. We look forward to many more Dash games this season. Here are some pictures.

Cupcake website

My new website is now up & running thanks to Jonathan. Most of you know that I decorated cakes but I have now switched to cupcakes. They are just easier and faster for me to make.

Here's the link to the site.

For the chocolate/peanut butter lover

As most of you know I had gotten into making cakes, well now I'm getting into cupcakes. I have been wanting to try this new cupcake which I've called the "double chocolate peanut butter cup". Of course it's a double chocolate cake with a peanut butter frosting topped with Reece's Pieces candy. Here are some pictures of them that I have taken with my new camera. I love my new camera by the way. It takes awesome pictures.

Easter

Happy Easter! After church this morning we went to grammy's house where we took some pictures & Coen hunted for Easter eggs. It was a beautiful day to be outside.
