Sledding

After we had all the snow fall Friday night, us & our neighbors decided to go sledding at our church were there was a big hill to go down. We seen other people sledding & wanted to join in. We used a blow up air mattress that we bought at Walmart to use as a sled. It was way cooler than using a normal round disc sled. We all had a blast & I can't wait to do it again the next time we get snow.

Snow

The snow came early this year & we had so much fun playing in it with our neighbors David, Lindsay, Jimmy & Kristen. Friday night when all the snow was coming down we all gathered at our neighbors house for pizza & wings. Then we bundled up & headed out in the snow for a 2 hour snow ball fight. Then back in for some snow cream & cookies. It was a fun night for all of us. Coen seemed to enjoy the snow this year. He wasn't to crazy about it last year.

Rudolph

Rudolph the red nose reindeer had a very shiny nose...haha! This past weekend Coen & I put together a cute reindeer ornament to hang on the Christmas tree. Coen is all the time doing arts & crafts in school so I wanted to do something at home with him. I found the idea off a Christmas craft website & it was very simple. Rudolph's face is Coen's shoe print traced out on to foam paper. Then the antlers are Coen's hand prints, also traced out on to foam paper. Add some googlie eyes & a red nose & you have Rudolph. We also made one for each grandparent too. (Mimi, yours is coming soon!)

"O" Christmas Tree

This past weekend mom, dad & the 3 of us took our yearly trip to Sparta, NC to get a Christmas tree. I love this time of year & the fresh pine smell of a Christmas tree. The weather was very nice & not to cold. While we were in Sparta, we stopped to watch the Christmas parade that came through town. It was Coen's first parade. Here are several pictures.

This past weekend we took Coen to get another hair-cut. Since his last hair cut in September his hair had grown out so much. This time we went with shaved look all over. He's so cute with his new look. He definitely doesn't look like a baby anymore. He now looks all grown up. Here are a couple of pictures I got of him the other night after dinner.

By the way....notice the scarecrow lying face down on the floor, Coen likes to man handle Mr. Scarecrow by throwing him around. I guess this is because Coen & the scarecrow are the same height. He's a mess!

Ladybug cake

Some friends of ours are celebrating there little girl's 1st birthday this weekend and they asked me to make a cake for there daughter, Lily. So far this has been the biggest cake I have made. I also made Lily her own little cake so she could dig into it and have fun with it.

Halloween

This year for Halloween Coen was a vampire. He wasn't to spooky looking with spiked blonde hair, blue eyes and dimples but he sure made for a cute vampire. Here are some pictures of him dressed up and from his Halloween parade & party at school

Old Salem

This past Sunday one of my neighbors who does graphic design and photography on the side, took some fall pictures of Coen at Old Salem. Coen normally hates getting his picture taken but this time I had brought a distraction for him to play with, a football. The football entertained him and made for great pictures. Lindsay, the photographer, did a great job & took over 300 photos. Here are some of my favorite ones.
