Coen's 2 year check up

Today Coen went to the doctor for a 2 year wellness visit. Everything went well and he is very healthy. He weighed in at 32 pounds & was 36 1/2 inches long. He was in the 97th percentile in height & 78th percentile in weight.

Happy Birthday Coen!

This past Saturday we celebrated Coen's 2nd birthday! It was a great day and we are glad that our family & friends were there to make it special for Coen. On Monday, Coen's actual birthday we took him to Chucky Cheese for some pizza & games. He had a great time!

Another Year Older.....

Well, the time has come again & January 25th is just around the corner. My baby boy will soon be the big 2! This year Coen will be having an ELMO party. We were at the Card Factory yesterday picking up some stuff & Coen spots a huge gift bag with Elmo on it. So he starts shouting "ELMO" but Coen pronounces it "MAILMO". He's so cute! I'm a little emotional just because he's growing up so fast. I was looking back at some of his baby pictures and oh how I miss all his fat rolls he had. Now he is tall & slender. Here are just a few of my favorites of him as a baby. No matter how old he will be he will ALWAYS be my baby boy.

Coen's love for Elmo

Over the last 3 to 4 months Coen has grown to love Elmo. He ended up getting 3 Elmo's for Christmas & luckily all of them are different from each other. He normally only sleeps with one but tonight he had to have all 3 in bed with him. Here is a picture I took of him after he fell a sleep.

Tool time!

Here's a couple of pictures of Coen & Jonathan playing with the tools Coen got for Christmas. There like two peas in a pod. Your such a good sport babe!

I should never have any problems finding a handy man for repairs....I've got 2 of them!

Christmas 2009

We had a wonderful Christmas this year! Coen was a good little boy and got tons of new stuff. I'm officially parking outside now due to the fact our garage is full of toys & bikes. Jonathan & I both got new bikes this year so we can start bike ridding. Just to name a few, Coen got a new powered 4-wheeler, baseball hitting machine, work bench w/ tools, new table & chairs and much more. Here are some pictures of our Christmas.

Santa came by & left Coen a 4-wheeler

Sledding

After we had all the snow fall Friday night, us & our neighbors decided to go sledding at our church were there was a big hill to go down. We seen other people sledding & wanted to join in. We used a blow up air mattress that we bought at Walmart to use as a sled. It was way cooler than using a normal round disc sled. We all had a blast & I can't wait to do it again the next time we get snow.

All 3 of us

We took a running start & leap of faith onto the slippery air mattress that went straight down hill

we both landed......

hold on.......

Wee!!!!!!

Snow

The snow came early this year & we had so much fun playing in it with our neighbors David, Lindsay, Jimmy & Kristen. Friday night when all the snow was coming down we all gathered at our neighbors house for pizza & wings. Then we bundled up & headed out in the snow for a 2 hour snow ball fight. Then back in for some snow cream & cookies. It was a fun night for all of us. Coen seemed to enjoy the snow this year. He wasn't to crazy about it last year.

Rudolph

Rudolph the red nose reindeer had a very shiny nose...haha! This past weekend Coen & I put together a cute reindeer ornament to hang on the Christmas tree. Coen is all the time doing arts & crafts in school so I wanted to do something at home with him. I found the idea off a Christmas craft website & it was very simple. Rudolph's face is Coen's shoe print traced out on to foam paper. Then the antlers are Coen's hand prints, also traced out on to foam paper. Add some googlie eyes & a red nose & you have Rudolph. We also made one for each grandparent too. (Mimi, yours is coming soon!)
