Easter

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. It was a beautiful day for an Easter egg hunt & a cookout. I have lots of pictures so I hope you enjoy them.

Awake :-(

It's after 1:00 am & I'm still up. Coen woke us up over the baby monitor to coughing/gagging and to our surprise he had thrown up everywhere in his crib. We only thought it was over but he continued to throw up again 30 minutes later in the bathroom. What a mess!! So, for the past hour Jonathan & I have been cleaning up vomit, washing sheets & blankets, cleaning floors/crib, & giving Coen another bath....YUCK!!! I guess I'm lucky that Jonathan didn't throw up too because he was gagging so much over the horrible smell in Coen's room. We are finally done cleaning & Coen has laid back down but I'm not tired anymore. Raising a child is so rewarding but can be hard at times. I guess tonight was one of those rough parenting nights but we got threw it & Jonathan was a trooper. Oh Lord, I hear Coen coughing again. I hope he makes it through the night with no more throwing up. I better go check on him.

Goodnight...........

The Easter Bunny

This year Jonathan & I decided to take Coen to see the Easter bunny & have his picture made. When we got to the mall & walked up to where the Easter bunny was, Coen was all smiles & very happy. The lady working with peter cotton tail greeted us at the entrance. Coen couldn't wait to get out of his stroller & he took right to the lady working there. She held Coen's hand while they walked up to the Easter bunny. Coen just stood there & stared at him as if he was trying to figure him out. As the lady picked Coen up to sit him on the bunny's lap he put a death grip on her & wouldn't let go. He started to cry so I took him from the lady & we played with the Easter bunny until he was comfortable enough to sit on his lap. After a few minutes I sat Coen down in his lap, backed away & the lady got one picture just before he started crying again. All in all Coen did good for his first visit to the Easter bunny.

Just pictures

Here are some random pictures.........

Ridding the 4-wheeler

Ever since we had hard wood floors put in, Coen has been ridding his 4-wheeler more. We have tried to teach him to go forward but he only likes to go backwards. He loves it when Jonathan pushes him around the living room. They have made there own little path & here is a quick video of them playing.

Cool Dude!

After dinner tonight we went outside to enjoy the nice weather. I've got spring fever I think. I'm so ready for the warm weather to come & stay. I don't like being cooped up in the house. We decided to take a walk around the neighborhood while Coen enjoyed a laid back ride in his car. The sun was out so I put Coen's shades on him. I am shocked because he left them on the whole time we were outside. He is just to darn cute with his shades on, so I thought I would share a couple of pictures of our evening outside.

He loves to ride in his car

He keeps a few toys hidden in his car

Happy 1st Birthday Rylee

A friend of mine who graduated high school with Jonathan & I also has a little one, Rylee. She turned one on March 6th. Coen was invited to her birthday party this past Saturday & I thought I would share some pictures.

Rylee's cookie monster cake

Rylee & her mommy opening gifts....Coen was wanting to open them for her so bad.

Coen wondering around & playing

I think she was a little scared & overwhelmed at first when they brought out her cake

but it didn't take her long to figure out that she like it
Happy Birthday Rylee & thanks for the invite.

The light switch

Coen is learning how to do new things everyday it seems. It's so amazing to watch him grow & learn. You just wouldn't think how fast they pick up on things when there this small. Coen always seems to study what Jonathan & I do around the house. He now has learned how to turn the light switch on & off in his bedroom when sitting on his changing table. Every time he turned it on or off we would clap & then he began to clap when he did it. Here is a video of him learning to use the light switch. The clapping in the video is obviously me but you can see that he was clapping.

Playing in the toy box

Here lately, Coen has been getting into his box of toys.....literately in the box toys. He takes a few toys out so he came make room for himself to get in the box & play with all his stuff. It's so funny to watch and he is happy & content while sitting in it & playing. Here are a couple of pictures.

and here are a couple of pictures of Coen brushing his teeth like a big boy

SNOW!

We finally got some what of a big snow. It's so pretty to look at. Coen woke up early this morning, so we decided to bundle up & go outside to get some fresh air from the snow. I think we were outside playing about 9 am. We went sledding down our neighbors bank. Coen thought it was so fun. He was laughing every time he got to go on the sled. Then he made a snow angle & after that he had enough of the snow. So, we headed back in & he fell back asleep. Maybe we will get back out there later for some more fun in the snow. Here are pictures of us playing & Coen's first big snow.
