Mother's Day

me & my wonderful mom

what a cute little family

This is what Coen made for me at daycare with the help from his teachers. I love to receive handmade gifts from Coen because they mean the most to me but, the best gift I could ever ask for, for Mother's Day is Coen. I'm so blessed to have such a wonderful son & feel so lucky to be his mother as I get to teach him, watch him grow & always be here for him.

It reads:

Everyday I am exploring
Touching everything I've found
I leave behind my little marks and handprints all around

You clean up those handprints
But someday when I'm grown
You'll wish you had just one handprint to keep for your own

I made this handprint for you
So that one day when I am tall
You'll remember what my hand looked like long ago when I was small

Playing with great grandma

The other night we went down to see Jonathan's grandparents, Clete & Peggy. Coen has become a huge fan of being outside, so for the most part of our visti we were all out playing in the yard. Well, I should say Coen & his great grandma were the one's kicking the ball around, I was just trying to capture the moment with pictures.

Then & Now...

So, Coen found a hat in his closet that was hand made & it was given to me at my baby shower. Just for fun, I thought I would put in on Coen to see if it still fit. It still fit but barely. I had to get a picture of him wearing it again because it was to funny. So, here is a then & now picture of the hat. Just look at how much my little man has grown.

Chocolate Pudding!!!!!

Can you tell that Coen was super excited about his chocolate pudding. He loves pudding! Also, these pictures are the only ones I have gotten of him smiling big and showing off his teeth.

Mowing the grass

Coen got a bubble mower from paw-paw & mimi Miller at Easter. He loves to push it around the house inside but it was just the other day he played with it outside for the first time. He thinks his mower is better than daddy's because it's bright & shinny & blows bubbles. Here is a cute picture (he looks like a three year old in this picture) & video of him mowing the grass.

A day at the Zoo

Today we took a trip the NC Zoo. Jonathan & I haven't been in a really long time & of course it was Coen's first time to the zoo. We had such a great day & I must say it was very Hot! It was 90 degrees in Asheboro today. You would have thought it was the middle of summer already. We survived the heat & the best part was that we ended up getting in the zoo for FREE. When we arrived & was making our way to the entrance, a young couple our age come up to us and asked if we wanted two free tickets to get in, they had two extra tickets. We obviously said yes because Coen was free to get in anyway & we thanked them very much. Coen had a blast & all the animals were out & about today which made for great picture taking. We had so much fun & I can't wait to go back again.

The Giraffe's-our favorite animal & best picture of the whole trip
