Coen's 3!

Wow! I can't believe our baby boy is already 3! Where does the time go these days? This year for Coen's birthday he had a Mickey Mouse party at the The Children's Museum of Winston Salem. He had several friends to join him and they all had fun. Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate with us. Hopefully the year 2011 will go by a little slower before he turns four in a blink of an eye, I doubt it! On a side note, I did not make Coen's birthday cake this year :-(.

Coen's favorite place to play at the museum is in the Krispy Kream Doughnut area. Here he is driving the delivery truck.

Happy Birthday Coen, mommy & daddy LOVE you so much!

Cake!

This year for Coen's birthday I had decided to let someone else make his cake for his birthday party. It was eating at me that I wasn't making it myself. So he helped me make him a giant cupcake for our little family get together for his 3rd birthday. Coen had decided he wanted to help with his cake. He also requested a blue cake so that's what we made. Here are pictures of him helping me.

Giant Cupcake!

My sister-in-law is getting married in September and they have asked me to do the cake. I feel honored to be apart of helping Amanda & Nate make their wedding day special. Amanda wants to do a wedding cupcake tower for her wedding. She found a picture of a design she liked & I wanted to do a practice run on the cake that will be on top of the tower. Instead of a small cake on top it's going to be a "GIANT CUPCAKE". I went out and bought a giant cupcake pan and made one just to see how it would turn out. The colors of the wedding will be peach & ivory. I think my practice run came out very pretty and the soon-to-be-bride loves it. Although, the butterfly in the picture will not be used. I will find a much prettier one that matches the colors of the wedding. This is a temporary one I had for the moment.

Copying daddy!

Now that Coen has a laptop of his own he likes to get his out and play on it when Jonathan or I use our laptop. I think it's cute!

Christmas 2010

We had a wonderful Christmas this year and the snow on Christmas morning was very pretty. Coen was a good little boy and got lots of goodies. Santa brought him a basketball goal, John Deere dump truck and radio flyer scooter. Coen really got into opening his presents this year. Here are the pictures from Christmas morning & other family Christmas gatherings.

Better late than never!

I have been very slack here lately about posting pictures. It's Christmas time and I'm just now posting Halloween. I guess it's better late than never, huh!

This year Coen actually picked out his costume on his own. He was Thomas the Train, and a very cute one too. He's only two years old but he looks about 4 dressed up in his costume and looks just like his daddy but with blonde hair.

Here are the pictures from our visit to the pumpkin patch.
