Chocolate Pudding!!!!!

Can you tell that Coen was super excited about his chocolate pudding. He loves pudding! Also, these pictures are the only ones I have gotten of him smiling big and showing off his teeth.

Mowing the grass

Coen got a bubble mower from paw-paw & mimi Miller at Easter. He loves to push it around the house inside but it was just the other day he played with it outside for the first time. He thinks his mower is better than daddy's because it's bright & shinny & blows bubbles. Here is a cute picture (he looks like a three year old in this picture) & video of him mowing the grass.

A day at the Zoo

Today we took a trip the NC Zoo. Jonathan & I haven't been in a really long time & of course it was Coen's first time to the zoo. We had such a great day & I must say it was very Hot! It was 90 degrees in Asheboro today. You would have thought it was the middle of summer already. We survived the heat & the best part was that we ended up getting in the zoo for FREE. When we arrived & was making our way to the entrance, a young couple our age come up to us and asked if we wanted two free tickets to get in, they had two extra tickets. We obviously said yes because Coen was free to get in anyway & we thanked them very much. Coen had a blast & all the animals were out & about today which made for great picture taking. We had so much fun & I can't wait to go back again.

The Giraffe's-our favorite animal & best picture of the whole trip

Easter

Awake :-(

It's after 1:00 am & I'm still up. Coen woke us up over the baby monitor to coughing/gagging and to our surprise he had thrown up everywhere in his crib. We only thought it was over but he continued to throw up again 30 minutes later in the bathroom. What a mess!! So, for the past hour Jonathan & I have been cleaning up vomit, washing sheets & blankets, cleaning floors/crib, & giving Coen another bath....YUCK!!! I guess I'm lucky that Jonathan didn't throw up too because he was gagging so much over the horrible smell in Coen's room. We are finally done cleaning & Coen has laid back down but I'm not tired anymore. Raising a child is so rewarding but can be hard at times. I guess tonight was one of those rough parenting nights but we got threw it & Jonathan was a trooper. Oh Lord, I hear Coen coughing again. I hope he makes it through the night with no more throwing up. I better go check on him.

Goodnight...........

The Easter Bunny

This year Jonathan & I decided to take Coen to see the Easter bunny & have his picture made. When we got to the mall & walked up to where the Easter bunny was, Coen was all smiles & very happy. The lady working with peter cotton tail greeted us at the entrance. Coen couldn't wait to get out of his stroller & he took right to the lady working there. She held Coen's hand while they walked up to the Easter bunny. Coen just stood there & stared at him as if he was trying to figure him out. As the lady picked Coen up to sit him on the bunny's lap he put a death grip on her & wouldn't let go. He started to cry so I took him from the lady & we played with the Easter bunny until he was comfortable enough to sit on his lap. After a few minutes I sat Coen down in his lap, backed away & the lady got one picture just before he started crying again. All in all Coen did good for his first visit to the Easter bunny.
