Helping nana with the strawberry's

Today nana & grandpa got to watch Coen for a bit while I had a date with my hair stylist. Jonathan had to work this morning so I took Coen with me to the hair salon & nana picked him up there & took him back to her house. When I got back to the house Coen was helping nana do strawberry's. He was so cute in just an old, extremely over sized t-shirt, standing in a chair up at the bar watching & helping. Nana said he was eating strawberry's as fast as she could cut them up. Eating them was his way of helping. He also was trying to eat them with a fork. He has gotten better at using a spoon or fork. He's growing up too fast for me. Anyway, here are just a few cute pictures.

Coen has found a new game he likes to play called "squish me". He likes to position himself behind you on the couch & pull you back towards him so that you will squish him. He thinks it's so funny. Here's Coen being squished by grandma mimi.

Coen thought that riding in his wheel barrel was way more fun than pushing it. Grammy & I were taking turns wheeling him around in the yard.

Trouble Maker

Here lately Coen has been waking up in the mornings an hour an a half earlier than usual. Jonathan & I didn't feel like getting up as soon as Coen did this morning so we brought him to bed with us & turned noggin on ( a cartoon channel). He watched it for about 5 minutes then he was all over the place on the bed trying to find duke & I got kicked in the eye with his foot. So, I decided to go ahead & get up as I knew I wasn't going to be able to lay down for another 30 minutes in peace. After Jonathan & I got our showers I got Coen dressed & ready to go. At this point Jonathan was getting ready to leave the house & I still had to dry my hair. We were both talking when we heard a big "bang". My first thought was that I had left Coen's bathroom door open and he had made his way in to play with the toilet and had slammed the toilet lid down. (We have had to keep the bathroom doors shut due to him playing with the toilet, toilet paper, trash can & pulling on the shower curtain) Jonathan went to check on him but Coen being in the bathroom wasn't the case. He was in the kitchen pushing around the kitchen chairs. He managed to push the chair over onto it's back onto the floor. So now we have a broken chair. The spokes came apart from the actual chair part. I don't know where he picked up rough housing with our furniture, but he's a little tomboy for sure....haha! Even his teacher at daycare Ms. "D" says he likes to push the classroom furniture around. Ms. "D" tells him " now Coen, we are not going to rearrange the furniture today". Toddlers, they are sweet & so fun to be around but they are mischievous and sneaky too. Here is proof of our broken chair. Grrr...just another item to put on the list to be fixed.

This is what Coen made for me at daycare with the help from his teachers. I love to receive handmade gifts from Coen because they mean the most to me but, the best gift I could ever ask for, for Mother's Day is Coen. I'm so blessed to have such a wonderful son & feel so lucky to be his mother as I get to teach him, watch him grow & always be here for him.

It reads:

The other night we went down to see Jonathan's grandparents, Clete & Peggy. Coen has become a huge fan of being outside, so for the most part of our visti we were all out playing in the yard. Well, I should say Coen & his great grandma were the one's kicking the ball around, I was just trying to capture the moment with pictures.

Then & Now...

So, Coen found a hat in his closet that was hand made & it was given to me at my baby shower. Just for fun, I thought I would put in on Coen to see if it still fit. It still fit but barely. I had to get a picture of him wearing it again because it was to funny. So, here is a then & now picture of the hat. Just look at how much my little man has grown.

Chocolate Pudding!!!!!

Can you tell that Coen was super excited about his chocolate pudding. He loves pudding! Also, these pictures are the only ones I have gotten of him smiling big and showing off his teeth.

Mowing the grass

Coen got a bubble mower from paw-paw & mimi Miller at Easter. He loves to push it around the house inside but it was just the other day he played with it outside for the first time. He thinks his mower is better than daddy's because it's bright & shinny & blows bubbles. Here is a cute picture (he looks like a three year old in this picture) & video of him mowing the grass.
